Huh? Artificial Intelligence???? Yeah.
I confess. My initial thoughts about "Artificial Intelligence" are the obvious (to me anyway) inherent contradiction in terms of "intelligence" being "artificial" or "fake". What kind of reliable "intelligence" or "knowledge" can be "artificial" or, "fake"?
Another confession. I have never forgotten the movie "2001 a Space Odessey". This movie is part of my overall skepticism about what has been shortened to AI.
While I have never used AI, (yet another confession) I have conversed with someone who has begun to "use" because their employer is training its employees in AI, and has observed, what they described as "mindblowing" stuff.
I started some Google research and came across a couple of interesting articles, so far in relation to this Forum topic.
AI and End Time
Artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential role in end times prophecy have been discussed in various religious and philosophical contexts. Some believe that the rapid advancement of AI could be linked to biblical prophecies about the last days.
For instance, the book of Daniel mentions that "knowledge shall increase" in the last days, which some interpret as a reference to the rise of AI and other technological advancements. This idea is further supported by the notion that AI could be part of God's prophetic timeline, with its development reflecting the increasing knowledge and technological progress described in Scripture.
(Daniel 12:4 But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.)
In addition to the increase in knowledge, the Bible also speaks of a time of deception and false prophets. Some have suggested that AI could be used to spread disinformation and deceive people, aligning with the prophecy in Revelation 13, which describes a beast that performs great signs and deceives those who dwell on the earth.
This has led to concerns about the potential misuse of AI, particularly in the form of deepfakes and other forms of manipulated media that could be used to spread false information.
Some religious groups and individuals have also drawn parallels between AI and the concept of the antichrist or the false prophet mentioned in the Book of Revelation. For example, some speculate that the "image" of the beast mentioned in Revelation 13 could be an AI system, which would be given the ability to think and act independently. This idea is not universally accepted, and many caution against equating AI directly with the antichrist, noting that the prophecy is more likely referring to a human figure rather than a machine. ...

Another verse in Revelation 13 states that those who do not have the "mark of the beast" will not be able to buy and sell without the mark. I've noted this before, that this verse may have a parallel to crypto currency. To what extent will crypto currency become dominant to cash currency, access to the internet, etc. That is, "the mark"
may relate to crypto in some way. How? I don't know. My speculation is based on AI and crypto being totally dependent (?) on Internet access, and theoretically your personal access to the Internet being cut off because you don't have "the mark of the beast".
My message to all is simple: "Pay attention". Look at the news with spiritual eyes. One of the primary things I learned when I started my journey OUT of the Local Church was to "Pay attention!".
What do you think?
