When Lee really started getting interested in expansion in the U.S., two things happened: the first was to insist on everyone using his ministry, and the second was to make himself the supreme leader of the movement (MOTA). Thus the ground or basis by which everyone had thought they were meeting on (locality) had become mutated.

The Philippine version of The Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo) had their own MOTA (Felix Manalo) of which believe their church is on the proper ground and everyone else is in apostasy. Sound familiar?
