THREE MAJOR DISTINCTIONS
in the Local Churches

A brother in the Philippines said to me sincerely, yet proudly, “the Baptists believe in baptism by immersion, “This is our distinction”. This is also their shift to the wrong ground.

The 7th Day Adventists said to me upon my leaving, “Christ will mourn for your soul in hell” – because I wouldn’t be keeping the Sabbath. This is their distinction. It is also a shift to the wrong ground.

Both the Baptists and the 7th Day Adventists use their distinctive feature in their name to denominate themselves.

The Local Churches have the teaching that they are on a ground of oneness with all believers in their localities; but in practice they separate themselves from other believers by having three major distinctions 1) the minister of the age 2) with the ministry of the age 3) and the right standing as the true church.

“If we introduce these manmade distinctions into the church, the relationship among the brothers and sisters will be shifted to the wrong ground.” (W.Nee, New Believers Series)
