Did you really not understand that the context in question was the “20,” not Solomon and anything he did. Where was the “20 from and what was its context.
I finally did see the context of the verse (which I had never made any comment on before you threw it at me in an irrelevant way). It is in 1 Corinthians. And Ohio got it right. It was not a reference to simply anything that might be called wisdom, but to specific prevailing Greek wisdom of the day that Paul was addressing.
Your comment about Solomon violating God’s direct command because of his wisdom is an interesting presumption. Since it was an error of what is sometimes thought of the wisest man, and it is one of disobedience, not of outthinking God then finding out later you were wrong, it is not likely that Solomon’s wisdom was really in play here. More like one of his lapses in wisdom.
