Default From the writings of T.A. Sparks

He wrote:
[B]
Quote:
A great many people of today have tried, and are trying to realize the oneness of the Church upon the basis of the doctrine of the virtue and efficacy of the Blood of the Lord Jesus, the doctrine of the Blood;
Is this what Nee and Lee believed too? I don't remember Lee or any of the local elders teaching this. It seems to me Lee's doctrine on Oneness was the 'ground of locality' PERIOD. Not on the Blood of Jesus. In fact I've never heard anyone teach the oneness of the church is based on the doctrine of the Blood of Jesus. Unless what they mean is our oneness is based on us being One in Christ.

He also wrote:
Quote:
It is not sufficient that you have fundamentalism, which after all may only be the gathering together of certain recognized fundamental doctrines; it is not enough to have that as the basis of unity. It does not work, you cannot get it on the basis of doctrine, on the basis of creed, you have got to have it on the basis of experience, on the basis of power, of something wrought, something brought about
Sparks really nailed Biblical truths here.
My spirit grieves hearing messages on the unity of the Body of Christ. Those of us who were in the LSM/LC got a heavy duty dosage of that teaching for it was the basis why we were 'the Lord's Recovery', the "Local Churches", why Lee's ministry did not take a "name" but each locality took on the name of the city as name of the church...so long as it was under Lee's ministry of course.
Very few people truly have the vision of the church. We all KNOW WE, the believers in Christ Jesus ARE the church. But for most, it means nothing more than a doctrinal truth.

He continued writing

Quote:
We know that there are plenty of people who believe in all the eternal and infinite virtue and value of the Blood of the Lord Jesus who know very little experimentally about the power of His Blood in their lives as a mighty force working against the power of death within and without.
And with regards to the Blood of Jesus, Sparks wrote exactly what I tried to convey in a previous post. Most believers know the scriptures on the Blood, believe in the scriptures but know very little experimentally about the power of His Blood in their lives as a mighty force working against the power of death within and without.

So many of us received these teachings and had them down pact...but not the experience.
