The “ministry” was a help to the church, but was NOT the church.

Someone who was in Austin might recall, but I believe the next change occurred about the time that Austin bought its current property on S. Congress Ave. and built a hall. The message was something like “Oh. Never mind. The ministry station meetings will no longer be held offsite but brought in to the church meeting hall.” I guess the unspoken was that the church and the ministry of WL are one in the same. The hall in Anaheim on West Ball Road was built with volunteer labor from all over the globe. The church in Anaheim met in this hall. Living Stream Ministry presses downstairs began to roll out books, starting with Life Study of Genesis booklets.

..... Everything we were told when the offsite “ministry station meetings” began was reversed, without explanation, and the churches soon belonged to Witness Lee and the LSM. Thus the franchise began.”

The Texas brothers were "the best" at following WL when he was following the vision he brought to the U. S.

What happened to WL's word: "Don't follow me if I leave the vision; follow the vision, not me." They followed Witness Lee in his deviation. Nell's capturing of this picture is most exposing - it encourages honest review of the original vision; WL's dramatic change to it; and the character of the Texas brothers for following Lee in his deviation.
