Back in the 70s when Lee had five localities migrate to Ft. Lauderdale, Bob Mumford and Derek Prince had already taken the ground.

According to Nee's and Lee's teaching on the ground, we were to meet with them. But they didn't follow Lee.

So what did we do? We ignored the proper ground of the church, of one church one city, and declared we had the ground.

But the Lord didn't bless it. Now Lee's church in Ft. Lauderdale is gone, and one of the young preachers that was with Mumford and Prince developed one of the largest mega-churches in America.

And you were there, Harold, to take account. I appreciate hearing the true history of the LR from those who know. This makes me wonder then, did bro Prince actually know the LC and their ways firsthand? I just assumed he spoke from so much experience with error and spiritual warfare, that maybe they all had commonalities with the LC.

Yes I was there. And yes Mumford and Prince knew Lee and the doctrine of the ground. That's why they took the ground in Ft. Lauderdale. Also, Kangas and other leading elders met with them.

I remember riding around with one of the elders that met with them and they were really concerned about the situation we found ourselves in. The ground doctrine said that Mumford/Prince had the ground in the city of Ft. Lauderdale. But Mumford/Prince were smart, and couldn't follow Lee. They saw one church one city in the NT -- from reading Nee and even meeting Lee -- but had a problem with Lee.

Look, Ft. Lauderdale was a high value city back then. The reason Lee wanted five localities to migrate to Ft. Lauderdale was because it was the big Spring Break city back then. So he was after all those young college students that merged on the beaches to party down ; so was Mumford and Prince. I never met with them, but according to the elder that met with them, they had a big gathering. It sounded to me like it would have been good for us to meet with them. But of course we were Leeites. In the end that Lee local church died out.

Over Lee. A split happened, caused partially by Manna-man's Dad (known as Hosepipe out here -- so brutal out here he's not wanted) The Lee loyalists ran off and took the ground in Boca Raton. They're still there. Manna-man met with them some time back. They haven't grown.

Manna-man recently brought up the Ft. Lauderdale remnant. Apparently some are still meeting in a house. And some years back, before LCD, on Thebereans.net, it was reported that Titus Chu got involved with them by some sisters meeting with them, or trying to take them over. But I don't remember much about that story. Maybe bro Ohio does.

The ground the ground the ground. That mantra is so silly to me now. I remember one sister who gave me the teaching about Jesus being the land. She spoke at length on it. I just thought, ok....Jesus is the land? I just don't see this from my reading of the NT. But it turned out, she was lying. She doesn't actually believe Jesus is the land otherwise there would be no division between us. In fact, so many things they taught, they don't stand behind, so much 'recovered truth' is just so much hypocrisy.

And Lee would have done well to let bro Prince teach him. But he couldn't allow for another simple brother to assume that position. Fatal flaw. And the LC follows after.
