I think I've made position pretty clear out here. But unless I missed it, I don't think you have. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Just to be clear, I'm a LGBTQ supporting heterosexual, raised in the Southern Baptist church, and a member of Lee's local church from approx. 70 to 80.

awareness, I have lots of experience with the local church all over the world for many decades. I was in the LC before you came in and left long after you left.

As far as LBGTQ is concerned, I'll let my post, and more importantly, the Bible, speak for themselves. Yes, you've made your position concerning the Bible clear for a long time now. You are a humanist atheist who thinks the Bible is a bunch of bunk and fairytales. So people like me and other Christians have no common ground to dialogue with you in a serious way. But hey, that's what this place is all about, and that's why you feel you can play the games you play. More power to you bro, more power to you!!!

Thanks for making that clear. And making it clear that you are trolling this thread. And you have no way of knowing whether or not I'm an atheist, and how I consider the Bible. Yes I see the human side of the Bible, and know full well the divine side as well ... which is, apparently, twice as much as you.

When you say "gays are an abomination to God", are you referring to Leviticus 18 and 20?

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)
If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)

It's the acting on the attractions that's the problem. It doesn't say "gays are an abomination." It's the sexual act that's the abomination, not the person. Quite a difference.

No, he never said or taught any such thing. He did say that "Don’t think that I have come to destroy the Law of Moses or the teaching of the prophets. I have come not to destroy their teachings but to give full meaning to them."

The full meaning of the laws against homosexual acts are that they violate God's original intention, which was one man with one woman, which was for the procreation of the human race. "Be fruitful and multiply". Homosexuality is not fruitful in the eyes of God, and thus it is not fruitful or profitable for us as his creation. Many of the OT laws full into this category. But awareness the bible expert already knows this so maybe you should be asking him these quesions.

Give me specific verses where it says homosexual acts violate God’s original intention. Also, homosexuality is helping the population boom now. If heterosexuals keep multiplying, then our earth is not viable. What do you say about the heterosexuals who decide not to have children? How can you decide what is fruitful or profitable for my life? For your information, homosexual people can also adopt the children left behind by heterosexuals who are not “profitable” since they abused or neglected or cannot for some reason take care of their children. They can also have children other methods. For example, a lesbian couple can get a sperm donated from a gay friend. Win win dont you think?

She can ask me on the phone. You brought up "procreation of the human race." That certainly was true back then. God told the only two to be fruitful and multiply, but of course. But with almost 8 billion today, I doubt God would need that any more, and won't likely be saying that. So then, homosexuality was opposing that end. However now, it wouldn't be of such a concern ... certainly not the concern Christian's make of it today ... that make the Bible, both Old and New, their LAW ... to condemn those they don''t agree with ... specially the gays ... but look the other way for gossipers.
