Hi, Indiana!
I see this idea still existing in many minds. I would rather drop this idea if not seeing in Lord's teaching. Desiring testimony of Jesus on Earth? Where it comes from? The only visible sign and testimony is mutual love. And this is only result of personal fellowship with God.So there is no need to desire this testimony. Testimony is only result. Like lamp and oil. No lamp, no oil, no shining! The only thing we have to take care of is our lamps and portion of oil. I saw this hidden thought in many books of WL and WN. And this is not a matter og good or wrong. Of course, God want the rest of world to see our mutual love as unique testimony that only God can do this as Savior Jesus Christ. But... After so many years we can clearly see how it ended. I am ready to sey strong NO! to such a thoughts. It started exactly like that. Innocent good ideas seemed to be according Gods heart. But where we can see this certain idea? I can see rather more natural ways like: God makes growth, fruits on tree, abiding in Christ.
I hope You all we will learn how to pay attention to this small ideas.

I would like to add DEPUTY AUTHORITY and the GROUND OF ONENESS

The local churches have long been under the teaching of deputy authority, beginning in China with Watchman Nee. When I first heard the related terms, the oracle of God, the minister of the age, the acting God, the one wise-master -builder, the commander-in-chief - terms being applied to Witness Lee in the 1980s - I was in full agreement. I was in one accord with the brothers who were campaigning for the churches to line up with Witness Lee as a universal leader, as men were swept up in full abandon to him, and with strict resolve to follow him in the Lord's "new move". This "new move", however, unwittingly established a new ground for meeting.
